The Project
Celebrating its 25th edition, the Festival of Dance and Non-Verbal Theatre in Svetvinčenat is a renowned event showcasing contemporary, experimental, and avant-garde performances. The goal was to create a captivating visual identity that reflects the festival’s artistic, conceptual nature, while ensuring seamless adaptability across digital, print, and merchandise applications. One of the biggest challenges and proudest achievements was designing the festival booklet, a complex piece featuring act details, credits, and photography. Balancing functionality with visual impact, the booklet required a refined approach to layout, typography, and structuring dense content in an engaging way. Beyond that, the branding was extended across posters, billboards, digital formats (social media, animations for digital screens), and festival merch like rain ponchos, ensuring a cohesive presence across all festival touchpoints.

The Approach
The key visual was crafted to capture the fluidity, rhythm, and movement inherent in dance, while also aligning with the festival’s conceptual and avant-garde nature. The design strikes a balance between abstraction and recognizability, ensuring it resonates with both dance professionals and general audiences. By blending artistic abstraction with structured design, the 25th edition of the Festival of Dance and Non-Verbal Theatre was given a visual identity as dynamic and expressive as the performances themselves. The project was made possible in collaboration with fellow designer Antonela Požarina.
