The Project
Trepaj Il’ Krepaj (TIK) was a DJ duo leading the underground trap scene in Croatia, performing across the country with their main residency in Zagreb. More than just DJs, they cultivated a tight-knit community and cult following, making their events more than just parties, they were community The goal was to refine and enhance TIK’s branding and overall image, ensuring their visual presence reflected the raw energy, rebellion, and subcultural influence that made them stand out. The challenge was to create a visual language that felt authentic, underground, and reflective of their scene while also being highly adaptable to digital platforms and event promotion.

The Approach
The core aesthetic of the branding drew inspiration from grunge, vintage horror, and underground streetwear movements like Been Trill. The logotype was entirely hand-drawn, echoing the DIY energy of old-school horror film posters and the raw, distorted visuals tied to underground music culture. Since TIK’s primary communication was digital, social media played a key role in shaping their presence. Instead of polished promo shots, I began integrating fan photography—capturing the crowd in their most euphoric and unfiltered moments. This reinforced the authenticity of the movement and visually showcased the chaos and energy that made TIK’s events unforgettable. Beyond digital branding, the visual language extended into physical materials like merch and posters, further solidifying their identity in the real world. As the era of TIK came to a close, their farewell event—“Farewell Party”—was marked with a two-part animated visual teaser, designed to build hype and give the movement a proper send-off.
